We took Howard our 5th wheel and tried out Crescent Bar Thousand Trails for Memorial day weekend. It was so nice to have heat and sunshine for the whole week. My husband worked remotely while we visited. The pool was small and too warm to really cool down and there were so many people. After Monday, everyone left to go home so that was super nice to have the pool to ourselves.
I had a great morning walk to the river almost walked 1.5 miles. Pretty area to see and hang out. We did not sleep the best due to some party animals next to us and a dust wind storm that rocked the 5th wheel all night long. We lost our Coleman easy up tent to the wind. It was like a microburst that came out of no where and hit right down where we were at. Hope to purchase another easy up again. They are great to have in sunny and rainy weather.
My Mom came and stayed with us for 2 nights since she lives in Ellensburg, WA not too far from where we were staying. The kids enjoyed having their Mema stay with us. My 2 big kids went home with her for 2 days and we were down to 2 kids. It was so strange not having their older siblings. Gave us good quality time with them. Our little two got along great too. I suggest this to those who have larger families breaking the kids up sometimes with other family members, it really changed the dynamics.
I did not have cell service unless I turned on my mobile hotspot. It was so nice to unplug from everything back home…meaning our stationary home plant. I was not connected to FB, or social media which I needed more than what I thought. To take a break and take in my kids more, surroundings where we were was great. Tried an authentic Mexican restaurant and had the best Carne asada burrito! Yummy Yummy!!!
Kids found a sprinkler to run in.
The Columbia River
We also checked out the Wanapum Dam visitor hydro electric center. Super cool!!! I’m sure my husband will post about that at a later time.
